Racism

When I was in 9th grade I had an racist encounter with a white male in my grade which made me come to the realization that racism is real and still alive to this day.

What happened was,

I was passing out papers to people and when I gave him his he had a smart comment. So me being me being said “ you wanna fight or something” and so he than stood up and said “yes” so then I jumped at him making it look like i was going to do something and he flinched. But I think others started to stare so then he got embarassed. So as he began sitting down he said loud and clear “ how do you feel? Does being BLACK make you feel powerful” I was so taken back when he said that, that all i could was repeat him and say “ does being white make you feel powerful?” and he says “yea it does”.

After this entire situation happened what he had said to me actually settled in and I began to cry and what was running through my mind was “ Wow he really said that to me, That was so racist. Racism is still real bro. I can not believe this”

I then told my aunt when I got home and there on my aunt took the situation into her hands.
