Trump Impeachment. How media responds?

Donald Trump became the third president in the history of the United States who was impeached by the House of Representatives. The decision on whether Trump will continue to fulfill his duties will now have to be made by the Senate in January 2020.
Two votes were passed in Congress — for each of the two presented charges. The article on the abuse of power gained 230 congressmen votes for impeachment and 197 against. An article on obstructing the work of Congress — 229 votes for impeachment and 198 against. To declare impeachment, it was enough to collect 216 votes on either of the two charges. On the eve of the vote in the House of Representatives, Democrats made it clear that they were not going to abandon attempts to remove Donald Trump from power. This vote, however, does not mean that the President of the United States will have to resign, and officially declared impeachment will not prevent him from being elected for the next term.
Trump’s impeachment has been widely followed by the media. Most of the news platforms made articles on this topic.

CNN became one of the main sources of information about Trump’s impeachment. They keep people aware of the situation by publishing more and more articles with new details, different opinions, predictions about how it may affect the country. “There was a six-hour debate: An intense partisan debate over impeachment played out for hours on the House floor on rapid-fire fashion ahead of the impeachment votes. In one-to-two minute speeches, Democrats and Republicans traded passionate arguments for why they were voting for or against impeachment. Back and forth they went: Democrats explaining the duty to impeach, followed by Republicans declaring that impeachment was a massive mistake.” — CNN reports.

Washington Post made a video report in a style of documentary films to show the whole process of impeachment and Trump’s reaction to it.

Washington Post in its article “Pelosi invites Trump to deliver State of the Union, potentially during his Senate trial; president lashes out at evangelical magazine” writes: “The Senate has to hold the trial now, according to the Constitution, to decide what punishment, if any, to dole out to the president for being impeached. Even though the president is impeached, it doesn’t mean he’s removed from office. An impeached president can still serve out his term and run for reelection just like Bill Clinton did. However, it’s up to the Senate to decide to convict or acquit the president on those impeachment articles. The Constitution says if he’s convicted, he gets kicked out of office.”

Washington Post made a live update on the situation with the impeachment and the readers can stay aware of what is happening by reading the articles organized by time.

BBC News made “A very simple guide” on Trump’s impeachment and answer the most popular questions like what is he accused of doing wrong, what is the evidence against Trump, what is his defense, what is the process, who would replace Trump, etc. It is very helpful to the people who are not following the politic game very carefully but still interested in such a huge even as the impeachment of the president.

News outlets are trying to keep people posted on the updates of the situation like this because it affects everybody who lives in the United States. Even though they choose different methods to do that. Some of them make articles on the updates as soon as possible organizing information by time, another make it as simple as possible for the non-political people so they can understand the terminology and aspects of the case.
