Blockchain data platform Fluree announced it won a contract from the U.S. Air Force (USAF) for providing command and control communications systems using blockchain technology.

Under the contract, Fluree will partner with a department within the USAF and develop a platform capable of enabling Multi-domain Command and Control (MDC2) operations for the DoD and its global allied partners. Later, it will run events to identify specific customer needs and work on a prototype using the Fluree data management platform.

The market growth can be attributed to the convergence of IT and OT ecosystems, rising risks of cyber threats on critical infrastructure, and dependence on legacy systems which eventually makes the enterprise more prone to cyberattacks.

Hyland Software Inc., an enterprise content services provider, today announced the company’s acquisition of blockchain-anchored document credential solutions startup Learning Machine.

Learning Machine is a startup that has pioneered the use of distributed ledger blockchain technology to authenticate documents and content. Using its credentialing solution, companies can create and share blockchain-secured digital records that are controlled by the recipient and independent of vendors and verifiable anywhere.

The Israeli Securities Authority (ISA) has issued Request For Information to identify potential regulations that prevent the development of blockchain-based ventures in the country. In addition, the regulator seeks to find out the practical applications of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).

As Israel’s financial watchdog, the ISA formed a committee to promote the development of the blockchain industry in the country. The regulator focused on platforms that issue and trade blockchain-based securities and their properties, including the use of tokens and smart contracts.
