Some facts about the Marvel Cinematic Universe

According to me, this is some facts about The Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Star Wars Tribute.

Every MCU movie in Phase 2 and all but Captain Marvel in Phase 3 have a scene where a character gets their arm chopped off or is shown without one. This is a tribute to Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back.

And it all started with Iron Man 3. While in Phase 2, these scenes are more straightforward, in Phase 3, they are a little more meta and/or symbolical at times.

Iron Man 3 (2013)

Aldrich Killian loses his hand to Tony.

Thor: The Dark World (2013)

Loki cuts off Thor’s hand, but it turned out to be an illusion.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

During his flashbacks, we finally see what happened to Bucky when he fell off the train. He lost his hand and is dragged through the snow by his captors, HYDRA.

Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

Gamora chops off Groot’s hands — glad that he could regenerate them.

Nebula cuts off her own arm to free herself during the Battle on Xandar.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Klaue pisses off Ultron. That was a stupid move and he paid for it.

Ant-Man (2015)
