Immigration Is A Hot Topic Right Now

Is America a welcoming country?

As stated many times, everyone in the United States of American except for the Native Americans can consider that they got here because of immigration somewhere in their line. Some people forget that fact and do not want any others to enter the country. Although they may claim to be against only “illegal” immigration, the comments against immigrants are often very derogatory.

Donald Trump said he would build a wall to keep people from entering the United States from Mexico. It was to keep people out from the southern border coming from Central and South America. The wall was started but not completed. Trump also claimed that Mexico would pay for the wall. That did not happen.

Trump has had three wives who were all immigrants. He was able to bring his parents in law to the United States while he was President. These were all white immigrants who seem to be more acceptable in his mind.

Now that Trump is out of office and Joe Biden has become President of the United States, there have been changes to the immigration policies. Some big problems have occurred as people have the mistaken notion that anyone can enter the United States without restrictions.

Immigration has been a complicated and difficult issue for many years. America is still seen as the “land of opportunity” where everyone has a fair chance. Whether that is true or not is debatable, but it is considered to be the best country in the world.

People who live in the United States are blessed with freedom and opportunity.
