Unlimited

Our life is a series of events.Experiences accumulate,an ego is built,the essence of identity.According to this ego we behave,the course of our life is shaped.Yet this precious ego along with the whole picture we have concerning the world is a kind of phantasy,a dream.What in fact it is composed of,is some chemical molecules in our brain,the memory.Due to the fact that all our values and actions stem from there,each one of us has his own limitations,his biases,his preferences.Because of these factors certain problems,anxieties and unresolved issues are created to every individual.If we understand this senario we understand that we are limited and to a high degree subjective.We are LIMITED.When we accept this fact,first we become less rigid,obstinate,we begin to open up to the others,to life.As a result we begin to listen and observe carefully.First we do not rush into conclusions.We observe,details,shapes,faces,characteristics,expressions.We do not mechanically react,we pause,we contemplate.Second we listen,carefully,pay attention to meanings,connotations,dennotations.We expect the other to finish his argumentation,to have a full picture what he means,what he proposes,wants.Third we seek a way to stand free of our limitations.We seek a psychological place,where our ego is not the commander and we can stand free of our viewpoints.Is there such a point,an attitude,a practice.So i introduce you to such a practice,ZAZEN.We sit quietly,we observe our breath,we let go of our thoughts,emotions.In fact,we get rid of our limitations,of our ego.It is a state we seek nothing,nothing to be attained,nothing to be achieved.This is eternity,letting go of memory,opinions,attitudes.It is neither idealism nor materialism.In fact it is beyond definitions,it is the state of supreme awakening,what the zen school calls anuttara samyak sambodhi.There there is no place for evaluations,judgments,goals.There you are really free,boundless,unlimited,in ZAZEN.This practice of zazen is what is transmitted through the Buddhas.This is the transmission outside the scriptures,the wordless dharma.
