Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing Collaberation

There have been more than five decades of advancement in all aspects concerning computing, which has involved both mathematics and scientific intelligence. And now, because of such advancement, we have firmly entered the digital era where the theory of Quantum Computing has become a digitalized reality. Computer science and the artificial intelligence that is involved in the cool concept of quantum computer technology can now be easily accessed in the cloud. This new intelligent computing source with its cloud interaction capability is currently helping people to conduct important research and combat certain problems related to many different disciplines. Material science, prescription drug discovery, and many more complex theories and systems are now being accessed, processed, and optimized by the breakthrough in quantum computing and artificial intelligence.

But to make the most of that breakthrough, we must realize the true capabilities of such computer technology, and then we should make quantum computing open and accessible to all. We must truly get to grips with such technologically advanced systems behind the science of quantum computing and use the computational power that it offers to create simulated methods that will help us to fully understand and to overcome the complexities involved in important human discoveries. By exploring the concepts of material, medicinal, and molecular science and its experimentation strategies and results, we could then use quantum computing and artificial intelligence to conquer the simulation systems and discover many more new materials that would help mankind to continue to experience scientific growth far into the future.

Every computing system in the world today relies on the fundamental ability to process, store, optimize, and manipulate data and the information it provides. Our current computer system can do this whilst manipulating individual bits that subsequently store the data as what is known as binary 0, and 1 states. With that strategy, millions of computer bits work together to help process the data and display it as information. The impact that quantum computing has will change the game forever as it can leverage different types of computer entanglement, interference, physical phenomena, and superposition all the data that is collected to manipulate and optimize it as information in a way that mankind has never experienced before. This new and advanced computing capability relies on different devices such as quantum bits, or qubits technology. The qubit is a fundamental building block of quantum computers.

The superposition of quantum computing refers to a combination of states that are described as independent but work well together. The entanglement is a counter-intuitive quantum phenomenon that describes the behavior behind the complexity. Entangled particles behave as a system that works together in crazy ways that cannot be explained using human logic. The quantum states that are involved in the complexity have a phase that lets them undergo interference, known as quantum interference.

This phase is like wave interference, when two waves are in phase, both of the waves amplitudes add, and/or when the waves amplitudes are out of phase they cancel. These waves can change the states of quantum bits. It is all very complicated and technical, but the AI technology behind quantum computing has huge capabilities, and it can / will change the digital world as we know it. Quantum computing is the techniques of using quantum-mechanical phenomena such as the above-stated superposition and entanglement. The quantum computer is basically the device which performs quantum computing, but it is a lot different from the binary digital electronic computers that are based on transistor technology. The quantum Turing machine is a theoretical model that is based on such a computer with quantum capabilities. This Turing machine is also widely known as the universal quantum computer.

The development of such quantum technology is still considered in its infancy, albeit there have been many different experiments in with quantum computing and the operations behind it were executed, but these were several tests with very little qubits being used. The practical and the theoretical research is continuing around the globe with the military very keen on future developments, and national governments are funding such efforts in quantum computing research to enable strong development in quantum computers for business, civilian, environmental and national security purposes.

There is already a quantum computer called cryptanalysis, this computer is a small 20-bit quantum computing system that is currently available for research purposes, and experimental activity via IBM’s Quantum Experience Program. And D-Wave Systems are in the process of developing their very own version of a capable quantum computer which uses annealing.

For humankind to increase the scaling of quantum computing systems and its computational power, we must find more ways to improve the capabilities across two separate dimensions. Improvements must be made in the qubit count, because the quantum bits that you have at your disposal, the more states can be fully manipulated, and stored as information. We must also create a way to lower error rates within the systems. Doing this will enable the system to manipulate the qubit states and manipulate them accurately to perform sequential operations that will provide users with the answers/results related to the data that is collected and stored in the quantum computing system. By combining these two quantum concepts, we can then create a single measure of quantum power that is known as quantum volume. This quantum volume will measure the relationship between both the number and the quality of the quantum bits. Whilst automatically learning the concepts of its circuit connectivity and combatting against the error rates of operations in the quantum computing system in general.

With that, artificial intelligence and quantum capability in building better and larger systems that are offering lower error rates will undoubtedly lead to more human discoveries, and it will eventually lead to discovering the first instances of quantum advantage or similar applications that allow quantum computers to offer systems capable of computational advantage for solving difficult scientific issues, and it will allow us to overcome any related problem.

Qubit — is a device that uses quantum mechanical effects to represent 0’s and 1s of digital data. These qubits are similar to a conventional computer but they are considered much more advanced, and they offer faster data collection, and data optimization.

Quantum Entanglement — is a quantum effect that is so unintuitive that Einstein dubbed it the ‘spooky action at a distance. Basically, when there are two qubits in a superposition, and they are entangled, certain operations on one qubit have immediate effects on the other qubit. And that is a process that helps quantum algorithms to be much more powerful than conventional computers.

Quantum Superposition — this is the trick that makes a quantum computer tick. This superpositioning makes the qubits much more powerful than ordinary conventional computer bits. A superposition is in an intuition-defying mathematical combination of both the 0 and the 1. Quantum algorithms can then use a group of qubits in a superposition to apply shortcut strategies through calculations.

Quantum Speedup — this is the most essential concept of quantum computing. It is a measure of how much faster than a quantum computer could overcome a problem than a conventional computer could. The quantum computer can offer an exponential speedup, which means the advantage of quantum grows explosively with the size of the input problem.

Large-scale quantum computers would provide us with the ability to solve very complex problems, and we would be capable of solving them much faster with quantum technology than we can do today with our classical computers.

The beneficial features with quantum computing are highly likely to help businesses, and global governmental projects to move forward and grow at a rapid rate. And with quantum’s problem-solving abilities and the expected scientific discoveries this new technology will offer, humankind will also benefit.

Quantum computing is about creating the largest performance boost in the history of advanced technology. Quantum capability will enable smaller, faster, and more powerful computing by harnessing the harnessing the counterintuitive physics of subatomic scaling. The technology industry is about to experience substantial improvements in many different areas and ventures concerning both tech and science. We could be on the brink of astounding progress in reshaping many industries because of the promised power and the advanced skills of quantum computers. The future is sure to be bright, but quantum computing hardware is still considered at the prototype stage. However we are finally seeing growth in computer capabilities, and the quantum computers of tomorrow that will be powered by unique quantum physics is starting to sound less hypothetical and look more like a reality. With global companies like Google and IBM heavily investing in artificial intelligence and hoping on the prospect of quick progression in quantum computing technology, the hardware, and software that we rely on in a society that is truly digitalized will only get better and much more advanced the more money that is thrown at it. Because the enormous potential of quantum computers and AI is undeniable.

The quantum processors are expected to demonstrate what is known as quantum supremacy. Therefore the processor will be capable of solving a carefully designed math problem and do it much faster than existing supercomputers. But as quantum computers get more advanced, the first practical use for them is expected to be for chemical simulations with simulated behavior expected for computer models of molecules and atoms that are vital in the search for new drugs and different kinds of materials.

This is solely driven by the need to overcome the complexity of quantum mechanics. Microsoft has stated that other uses of quantum computing could include the design of brand-new catalysts to make industrial processes less energy intensive, or the computers may even be capable of pulling carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere to mitigate against climate change and the concerns we currently have over it. The quantum computer would also be a perfect fit for code-breaking. The National Institute of Standards and Technology is in the process of evaluating and optimizing new encryption systems that may be rolled out to fully quantum proof the internet.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

The artificial intelligence associated with today’s computer technology is certain to feel the benefits from quantum computing and its capabilities. AI is often called machine intelligence, and it is a concept that intelligence is demonstrated by machines. The research in AI computer science is defined as the study of ‘intelligent agents’, and any device that is considered an intelligent agent can perceive its current environment and can then take specific actions that will help to maximize its opportunity of success and to achieve all of its set objectives and reach its technological goals.

The term artificial intelligence is applied when that machine can mimic the cognitive behavior, and it can apply functions that help it to learn, and to problem solve without the need for human interference. In 1956, AI was founded as an academic discipline, but since that date, AI has experienced wave after wave of optimism, and now essential funding has been offered for research efforts from many businesses and governments around the world. The goals of this AI research include:

There are many different tools that are used in AI approaches, research and its practical processes, which include:

The AI field currently works well in computer science, information engineering, psychology, philosophy, mathematics, linguistics, and many other important fields. The AI techniques and many different strategies have experienced a rapid resurgence because of the concurrent advancement that technology is making possible with the power of our computers. Now, large amounts of data can be collected, stored and optimized to suit our needs, we now have a theoretical understanding of all the data we collect. This is because of AI initiatives like autonomous databases, etc. The new techniques and strategies have quickly become an essential part of the technology industry, and recent AI developments are helping us to solve many different and challenging problems involved with operations research, software engineering and computer science in general. The breakthrough in deep learning artificial intelligence has helped many to capitalize in different industries by embedding AI technologies into their infrastructure. It has been important for these industries as AI has helped them to advance because it has several advantages:

The traditional and conventional computers are at the limits of data processing power. And the data still keeps growing, but that is where the quantum computer comes into the fray. The race is on to create a viable quantum powered computer that is much more powerful and can be better at complex problem solving than the old computers. Because we can add AI into the mix, it is increasingly likely that industry leaders can produce the world’s first commercially viable quantum computer.

With the artificial intelligence market claiming it is the fastest growing area of computer science, and with a wide range of capable applications. The future for quantum computing may be promising. The potential benefits to annual economic growth are astounding and seem to keep rising because AI applications ranging from autonomous chatbots to intelligent cars are transforming many industries and cultures by creating increased efficiency and a huge reduction in repetitive time-taking tasks. AI can enable increases in computer power, and it can also enable big data learning, and aid in the development of faster and much smarter algorithms that would particularly suit quantum computing.

QUANTUM COMPUTING AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

In 2018, Quantum Computing engineers and AI developers are currently using quantum algorithms that are transforming the field of neural networks and how they are optimized. Quantum annealing is thriving in the world of artificial intelligence, and it is sure to surpass the normal artificial neural networks that are used in computing. More commercial quantum computing programs are expected to appear, and new developments in quantum technology will be created with the help of smart AI and deep learning applications. And quantum computing can also benefit AI as it can help it to speed up the process of learning algorithms and big data analyzation/optimization. It can also help AI technologies to overcome issues with central clustering, pattern-matching, and principal component analyzing. Whilst making all AI processes exponentially faster and much more powerful.

Quantum computing and artificial intelligence are indeed two very exciting and vital global frontiers. We must continue to experience such incredible innovation and try to create the most advanced quantum computers while pushing the boundaries of AI’s capabilities. With such technology at our fingertips, we will be at the cutting-edge of what many thoughts were impossible. Quantum computers with AI integration will revolutionize the digitalized world. They will both bring better hardware and software to run increasingly complex programs.

Humankind will be capable of reaching new heights without many limitations standing in our way. As we have covered in this article, quantum computing and artificial intelligence will help researchers in every industry including simulation of essential but very complex biological processes. They could helpfully decode encrypted puzzles and change our concerns about climate change. With a new supercomputer that is powered by quantum physics and AI we could even redefine how humans interact and gather information from industries like medical science, mechanical engineering, and geopolitics.

We could document, study and use mass amounts of data via exponential quantum computational power. Humankind could eclipse everything that we have ever achieved, and we could move forward into the future knowing that we have the true potential to overcome any computing challenge by processing big data sets and then analyzing it above the granular level. We could experience growth in all areas of an industry at an immense level. We could exceed the power of every other combined computer on the planet. But we could only do that if we can find a way to harness the power of quantum computing and then fully integrate that power with the smartest of AI applications.

Quantum computing could provide us with the opportunity to reach into a massive database and deliver analyzed and optimized information in a matter of seconds. We could uncover encryption instantly. Quantum computing and AI, once they are both fused together, they are likely to improve each other and do it at such a rapid rate that progression in this type of technology will astound even the most skeptical. Humans are very intelligent species if you didn’t know that already. We can quickly train artificial intelligence to behave like us. If we can create a quantum computer sooner rather than later, that computer will grasp the laws of quantum mechanics to enhance the AI applications and provide us with significant power. And the two advanced emergent technologies will have a massive impact on our society.

The Internet of Things will get a lot bigger, and we as a race will be on the verge of superintelligence. The ability to process the 0s and 1s at the same time can provide us with tremendous power. Once we have achieved our goal of quantum computing, and then we integrate AI into the mix, we will experience a new age of human discovery, and we will have the power to develop even more super intelligent systems with higher levels of capability.

Quantum computing and artificial intelligence are both our future, so we should do everything in our power to research and eventually create a quantum computer that is so artificially intelligent that it will boost every industry in the world. The technological race is officially on.
